For the month of May, within the Harford County Real Estate Market, 257 homes settled throughout the area, up 47.70% from the April of this year!! Not only that, but that is up 3.21% from May of 2013 as the market continues to rebound month over month. 167 homes went under new contracts during the month of May throughout the Harford County Real Estate Market, up 2.45% from the same time last year, and up 5.03% from last month. Currently, 1,452 homes are actively listed for sale in Harford County, up 18.14% from the same time last year, and up 8.36% from last month! While home sales are up, and written contracts are up, we are still seeing the listing inventory increase at a faster pace. 531 new listings hit the Harford County Real Estate market during the month of May as well adding to the inventory, creating a supply of about 5.6 months of listing inventory right now. National Association of Realtors says a healthy/balanced market is about 6 months of inventory, so we are right there at this point, leaning a little bit towards a buyers market! Of the homes that have sold in Harford County last month, they spent on average 99 days on the market before selling, down 10% from May of 2013!
